I had the privilege of leveraging my hospitality experience, particularly with renowned luxury brands such as St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Design hotels, and other premium/luxury hospitality brands. During a six-month contract opportunity with Hyatt Corporation, I was specifically tasked with focusing on The Unbound Collection.
Drawing on my extensive background with prestigious brands, I delved into the origin and target audience of The Unbound Collection. Immersing myself in the brand's narrative, I collaborated cross-functionally with developers and my peers to bring its story to life. Despite initial ambiguity surrounding the rebrand for Unbound, I conducted discovery work to gain a deeper understanding and presented a clear vision based on my expertise in luxury portfolios.
In the process, I crafted 6 to 8 distinct design variations, encompassing elements from luxury to modernism. Working closely with Charles the lead product designer and Eric the director of product design, we aimed to establish a distinctive voice for Unbound while incorporating the diverse design options. Through several rounds of refinement, we ultimately honed in on a robust design that seamlessly integrated elements of the brand's voice, providing a dynamic experience for users, inviting them to feel like active participants in a captivating story.
